Taawon is a program that aims to support of Syrian Civil Society initiative that promotes, communication mechanisms with constituents and key stakeholders in reconciliation, conflict mediation, and advocacy efforts , and also help them to Improved organizational structures and internal processes..


Shaml has been granted the current project to provide effective and pertinent technical and management support to its constituent members as they jointly work towards a democratic and just Syria.

The goal of the project is
the project is


to provide organizational and administrative capacity training to Shaml to increase its ability to assist constituent organizations in the implementation of their programs. An initial organizational capacity assessment was done by Shaml in consultation with its members.


Under the proposed project, Shaml will develop a tailored, proprietary capacity assessment and capacity strengthening approach for its member organizations. The development of institutional capacity of Shaml coalition itself will be supported through capacity development activities of CSSP.

Outcomes


  • As a result of training and inputs provided under the proposed project the ability of Shaml to provide effective assistance to its constituent members in the implementation of their respective programs will be improved.
  • Through uniform capacity assessment approach and the combination of trainings, coaching and mentoring, performed by the expert technical advisors, Shaml will aim to achieve a high level of quality and uniformity among its members in regard to policies, procedures and practice in financial, human resource and program management.

  • Through their continual, constructive engagement in project activities, the proposed project will also enhance cohesion among coalition members and further strengthen Shaml’s ability to function as a unified, influential entity in the promotion of democracy, human rights and citizen equality in Syria.
  • Finally, it is anticipated that these improvements in effective and efficient operation will enhance credibility and eminence of the coalition, make Shaml membership attractive to like-minded CSOs and that by demonstrating responsible and effective management .
